I believe that UBF's concept of "absolute obedience" is better suited for dogs than for human beings.

"Absolute faith, absolute love and absolute obedience" is a motto of the Moonies and "absolute obedience" is also the 5th pillar of the Islam.

It is inappropriate towards human beings and I believe that even God does not like this cold, robot-like, cult-like, mind-less kind of faith, love and obedience.

God is our father. I do not demand "absolute" obedience from my son. I have a son, and not a dog or a robot. God as a father is not be different. Jesus encourages us to "first sit down and estimate the cost ." The Bible rejects "zeal without knowledge." Though it may be teachnically correct to say that God deservers "absolute" obedience, I feel the word "absolute" with all its association is not the right term, it is overused in UBF, and it I don't find it in the Bible.

Did you notice the following passage at the Moon link above: In order to reach perfection, it is necessary to keep in mind the word absolute. The word `absolute` means that there are no exceptions and there is no room for doubt. This describes the UBF mindset "absolutely"! It's amazing!
