From your mention of other churches, you appear to be in Chicago UBF or a smaller Chicago satellite chapter. You've mentioned problems. What specific problems have you seen? What about the obvious problem of arranged marriages? Do others in UBF that you know, including the person who recruited you, acknowledge the same problems that you see? These are simple questions.

You can't understand that seemingly rational people can be forced to do unhealthy things? Surely you have heard of cults such as Waco, Heaven's Gate, the Moonies. How about the Milgram experiment? Do you understand that even in nominally Christian groups a phenomenon called spiritual abuse can exists? Can you acknowledge that an unhealthy practice called shepherding/discipling has been used in various nominally Christian groups, resulting in people believing that they have to obey virtually anything that a spiritual leader tells them to do?

Even if you find it hard to believe that people would submit to orders to get abortions, cosmetic surgeries and circumcisions and still stay in UBF, what do you think about the fact that a leader or leaders actually ordered those abortions, cosmetic surgeries and circumcisions? Do you find that morally questionable at all?

Even putting aside the truly bizarre and horrible things such as forced abortions, cosmetic surgeries, circumcisions, beatdowns in the Chicago Center basement, baseball bat-enforced weight loss "training," UBF would have sufficient problems to be considered a cult or abusive church.
