I had to add this point as well. It is true that you shall know them by their fruits. So ask yourself....

If UBF as an organization is "FOR REAL", why is it that there are not 560 American shepherds after pioneering in America for 30+ years???

The fruits of the leadership and first generation of UBF is corrupt with sin from the BEGINNING. Believe me, there was a time in my youth that I believed this was an attainable prayer topic and I can say many American men came to UBF willing to become shepherds. The centers were FULL of potential missionaries. But after a brief period of time ( and not so brief a time for others) folks just left. They could see that the words and actions did not match. I have no doubt that there are real Christians in UBF, but the fruits of their labors for world mission will die, maybe not tomorrow, but in months or years, because the root system of UBF is rotten.

UBF does not have a monopoly on campus mission work. There are other groups out in the big world, whose membership is larger than UBF and more solid. More regarded in the secular Christian community as healthy. Those groups are open to share their accounting and their practices with the general public. UBF DOES NOT DO THIS. The UBF leadership hides behind cowardly silence, refusing to stand in the light of honesty.

So, the fruits of the labors in UBF will NEVER, NEVER, NEVER come to fruition.
