Jim and Brian,

I was in the LA ubf from 1989 to 1997. I saw similar things to what others have testified about. There is no doubt that UBF is a cult. One missionary said to me "obey me like you obey God". Is this statement biblical? Of course he did not say this to me when I first entered UBF, but only after he built up a trust relationship. I also saw how they would denigrate anyone's reputation who left UBF or questioned the authority of the chapter "director". Is this normal, right or healthy by God's standards?

If you want to serve God, find a healthy, spirit filled church.
