One thing I learned after leaving UBF is to never think black/white again when it comes to human organisations.

I think the problem with the Moonies shows this very clearly. Politicians of BOTH partys attended Moon's coronation ceremony!

Congressman Danny K. Davis (who was wearing white gloves and handed over the crown) is a Democrat, but
Sen. Norm Coleman of Minnesota, a Republican, was also there.
And I don't think the connection between Moon and the Bush family is purely fictious.

Let's face it. Politics is a dirty business.

This whole thread proves for me that UBF has still influence on many of us, it is still difficult to discuss in an objective, friendly, respectful way. I think we should really, really learn how to do this and learn to see and understand the complexity of the world instead of pressing it in black and white schemes as we did in UBF.

But for followups, please use the OT board.
