Reading what Sarah Barry told Jim St. L. about the NAE at this year's MSU meeting, I feel compelled to comment. She says, "There are many liberal groups in the NAE." Is that why UBF applied to renew their NAE membership this year before they were expelled from the group? I find her remark about the NAE predictably disingenuous.

I understand that she also told Jim that she was a member of the PCUSA (Presbyterian Church USA), as a matter of some pride. If you live in the neighborhood of the Chicago UBF headquarters, as most members of Chicago UBF do, you know that there is a Presbyterian church only three blocks west of the UBF center on Rockwell Ave. Barry has lived by the UBF center for close to 20 years. The pastor of that Presbyterian church says that he has never met or spoken to her, nor any other adult member of Chicago UBF.
