Generally you're right. Only a lot of people know that
already, and the main "plus" that's in it for them is
that they get to see people who they don't get to see
often.

Many look for attention from their old Shepherds and such
as in the case of newly established housechurches and
campus groups. Sharon S. told me that she cried a lot
by herself at the 1997 MSU conference because she was
hoping somewhat for some attention from those in Chicago
who used to shepherd her.

I actually only heard one message: the Sunday worship
service message. I arrived at the conference Saturday
evening. I went there specifically to find out some
things about the chapters in Siberia, in which I have a
personal interest.

But yes, as I recall, the message was very much like all
others in the past. However, I would defend "re-listening"
to old themes, because as fallen human beings, we can be
able to admit that we need refresher courses on even the
basics sometimes.
