On the other hand, I could interpret this "open letter" as his trying to be as nice as he can given the current climate of UBF.

But there's something I can't let go though:

Open Letter to those who FEEL HURT by their time in UBF ministry:

You may have found that this ministry is not for you.

It's "who FEEL HURT", and it's "this ministry is not for you." It's all subjective, it's all relative, it's all about people's feelings and over-sensitivity. It's the usual UBF relativism mixed in with Bible verses.

Don't fall for this. UBF defenders always want to steer the debate toward people's subjective feelings. "You FEEL hurt," "You FELT hurt."

No, the issue is not that people feel hurt or feel pressured or feel abused. After all, I could be a masochist like Joseph Ahn, who feels that all the unbearable abuse was just "training."

The issue with UBF is that its leaders committed acts and continue to commit acts that are real abuses when looked at objectively, in the light of biblical moral absolutes, if you will. And their acts are inexcusable. Until UBF and UBF defenders come to grips with that and can admit that, I and others will not let up, even long after we no longer "feel hurt."
