There is a very easy explanation for this. ubf leaders frequently do this as a means of spying on the recruits.

Another explanation is that they sometimes do this just in order to create the impression they are like you. Power mongers do not constantly go around and yell at you.

By the way, did Samuel Lee ever share his life testimony? Did he share a weekly Sogam? Did he go fishing on the campus? Did he make 1:1 Bible study with 12 disciples? Did he make 1:1 Bible study with his own shepherd every week? Did he earn his livings with a proper job as others in his "layman" ministry? Did he clean the building and the toilet? Did he do any janitor work, repair the xerox machine or other work as others? Did he receive training from anybody? Did he marry a complete stranger? Did he marry his children off to complete strangers? etc. etc.

I saw my chapter leader go fishing on the campus only one time in 10 years, though he was the only one who was not busy with study or job, the only one who had much free time to do such things. Neither did he clean the building as I did (even when I had a full-time job), though he was every day in the center. You know that this is reality in UBF. People in UBF are not equal. There is a strict hiearchy, the lower-ranking people serve and the higher-ranking people rule. That's very normal in the world, but not in the world of Jesus.
