This one makes me laugh. I heard this story so many times. It seems whenever a passage mentioned about an Elder this story was inserted. This examples shows UBF leaders metality. You are a good shepherd if you forcefully try to control your sheeps life. Anyway I wonder if it is true at all, seems like one of those made up stories trying to glamourize how great UBF shepherds are.

>Example from Samuel Lee's message on 1Peter5:

>One young
>missionary does not have a moustache or a bushy beard.
>But he has been recognized as an elder in our
>community, for he has such a compassionate shepherd
>heart that he cried with a loud voice to solve his
>sheep's marriage problem.

>What qualifications are required to be an elder?
>According to Samuel Lee, the strong will to interfere
>into the marriage of a member. Again, this is so
>absurd that I do not find any scholar who would refute
>such a view.
