Subject: Re: Changes in UBF?
In reply to: former 's message, "Changes in UBF?" on 05:47:17 07/08/04 Thu

BJ's post prompted me to make some comments. I am the anonymous poster mentioned by BJ. It seems BJ may have completely missed the point of my former post, which is that yes, UBF is changing, but these changes are small and superficial. The changes that are going on in UBF are attempts to hide UBF's problems, as opposed to directly addressing them.

I would like to suggest that perhaps this UBF leader's claims of change should be taken with a large dose of salt. Is UBF an organization that has a reputation for acknowledging its problems? Does UBF have a history of taking its problems seriously and making changes? No. After three major reform movements and the death of the dishonorable C. W. Lee, UBF remains the same abusive organization it was 30 years ago.

UBF trains its leaders in the art of the baldfaced lie. This is common knowledge to everyone who has been in UBF for more than a couple years. Is it not obvious that UBF is an organization concerned only with image, not substance? Has UBF ever been interested in the truth? No, rather they puff themselves up, make grandiose claims, extravagant "prayer topics," speak with forced intensity, and do a lot of power-posturing. Has UBF ever been interested in repentance? Not in my experience. UBF considers itself above reproach and incapable of wrongdoing.

What then, is UBF interested in? UBF's main interest is to take control of people and force them into the UBF way of thinking. This is all in an effort to keep up the gradiose illusion that UBF is God's chosen instrument and the only way to salvation.

BJ, I am not trying to put you down in any way. I would like to suggest to you and to all who are involved with UBF, that instead of blindly trusting the words of a UBF leader, you should make use of your own judgment and critical thinking.

Blessings,
Anonymous ex-UBFer
