That is one of the big problems in UBF. Nobody really knows the Bible. They study the Bible alot but it is all UBF study. Meaning they deeply know what they interpret the Bible as being.

Then they pass that limited knowledge on to their sheep. It is a never ending cycle. So we get all these goofy UBF speak phrases that don't really make any sense or are even Biblically correct. No one there has a degree in theology. No one really knows what the truth of God is.

It is like trying to pick up an introductory text book on a subject and studying it by yourself. Sure you may get some knowledge of the subject but without proper deeper study and even montoring by a teacher who knows the whole depth of the subject you have no hope of really knowing the subject. This is exactly UBF bible study.

Another example is someone thinking they know math because they know 2+2=4. Yes that is math but that is not the fullness of it. So much of what math is is missed with just that statement. But yet that is UBF Bible study and UBF leadership.
