I attended UBF at MSU a couple weekends ago. I have a close friend whose parents are missionaries from Korea, she grew up in Chicago and recently came to have a close relationship with Christ. She invited me, I didn't find anything too unusual or "cult like" at the conference. I don't know if it's because I'm stil lnew. The only strange thing was how everyone talked! Very slow, and enunciating everything, it wasn't like they were trying to make it easier for non-english speaking people to understand, it was like that's how they spoke. Either way, my friend grew up as a 2nd gen and it never seemed like she was in a cult, etc...Am I missing something?
