So, like the fire spell in your example, a starting shaman would have to 'pay' the full-out points for it, but the more points/levels a shaman has gained, the less points it takes them to do the same spell?
Sounds reasonable.

But there will have to be a list of the more powerful spells that would be exempt from this, as if they're superpowerful I don't think it would be wise to make it EASIER for shamans to use. This would probably be only for the big-guns, tho - ones that cost 25+ credits to cast... or something. Reasonable limit for this?

Well, seems like I better start copying this stuff down and organizing it :) I oughta make this a working idea, as this is all excellent. Plus, if you've any further ideas for spells, feel free to post them - and proposed credit list. I'll post a list of my own for you guys to critique - after all, you guys are actually going to be the 'working' shamans of the game.
Oh, and you know how leaders are exempt from being raided? Should this apply to shamans too?
