A few of the younger spring into the trees and follow the group out of their territories, growling and snapping their jaws but offering no further hostility, although should the Terolians stop there would be btsa to pay. The rest of the pack gathers 'round their one dead, an old female. One of the youngest nudges her neck, whimpering quietly. Violence and death were common on Lavana, but this did not make all uncaring. Life was precious and brief, and now, for this one, it was gone. The leader snarls, eyes glowing. Had the two not shown a wise course and left quickly, his pack would've slaughtered them, if only in revenge. The two Tlaemaes continue their escort until they reach the boundaries of their home, where they halt in their trees and watch with golden eyes.

The one clatt smells blood, death, poison. Death and more death, one of the Tlaemaes dead. Its simple mind does not feel pity, or anger, though more often than not its life depends on Tlaemae kills and attacking Tlaemae enemies. The scouter wings back to its clan, nestling back down among stiff, leathery forms. Whatever was dangerous was long gone, and so was the chance for food. However, there are many clatt swarms roosting in many, many trees...
