One slender ear flicks in acknowledgement of the Yosha's proffered information, but otherwise the tan stays utterly still, not even growling, though his head is low and short fur bristling along his spine. Lean muscles tauten, belying his otherwise-calm appearance.

The Trahe steps sideways, showing his grey, shaggy bulk in full glory for the four to see. Intelligent golden eyes glitter amusement at the group, and he lowers his massive skull down to face them more properly. "Greetings, little ones," he booms in a tone lower than thunder. "Why are you in my territory, I wonder?"

Akartis resists the urge to flinch at the inquiry. If they really are in the Athian's territory, there isn't much hope. However, the male raises his head and assumes a semi-neutral stance. "I was unaware we trespassed. Accept my apology. We seek the Center, and are merely taking the most direct route."

The Trahe rumbles, shaking the broad leaves about him. "Well then. I'll make you a trade. A life for free passage." The massive beast crouches down, tail arched over his back, tip glittering directly over his snout. "Whether it be one of your lives or my own, we'll see."
