The Jine snarls. Giving my life to help a species I hate and a group of foreigners that did nothing to me. I must have a brain deficiency. Switching out of her native tongue, secure in the knowledge that only Jines know it, she spits in Koratian, -I told you they weren't mine.- Bristling, she strides a few lengths forward, stiff-legged. -So come get me, if you want me dead so badly.- Sun slipping behind the mountainous horizon, the last rays throw erratic shadows out across the level space, not piercing the gloom of the forest.

The Heifia reacts to SF's response instantly, shaggy fur standing on end and making the brawny animal seem much bigger. Thunderously growling, the big canine makes to attack SF, but a quick mutter, in Heifian, from the red Korat stops him. |No. He has already decided this group's fate, but the Jine is first.| Ears pinned back, the Heifia snorts. "You jeopardize your life, cresh." The big ears flick back up. "You seek the Korat Original? Why? Do you know her? And which do you seek?" The red takes a few steps forward, thick muscles rippling under the glossy hide. -You help strangers, do you?- he rumbles to Tar, who had been silently listening. She snorts. -No. They trailed me. You know well enough, Jisz, that I hate Korats.- Her glare encompasses the red and the one black male that she knows, who returns a calm, blue-eyed gaze expressionlessly.

The red male turns his thick muzzle, gesturing behind him. Stiffly, Tar moves forward, her keen golden eyes calculating. -Don't try it, Tar,- the black mutters. -Why not, my dear Malf? I have nothing to lose, do I?- The well-built male shakes his head. -You may not, but they do.- Inhaling a vibrating snarl, the Jine grins, stopping only a few feet from the speaker Heifia. "W'll. Th'ain't lettinya n'r R'dwood n'w," she says clearly to the Terolians. "S'ye c'n falla me still, 'r go home." A dangerous look flashes across the Jine's mask, and Malf's eyes widen as he realizes what his former friend will do. -You'll get them killed,- he states flatly. Tar laughs harshly. -I owe them nothing.- Without further ado, the Lavanian springs forward, her long limbs flinging her forward in a headlong run towards the forest. "If y'cain't smell'er, y'ain't w'rth yer life!" Immediately, a few Heifias and Malf chase Tar, for she'd gotten through their group easily. As the four vanish into the dusky forest, Malf seems to pull away after the speedy femme, leaving the three Heifias to follow doggedly. The rest of the group seems vaguely confused for a moment, before a sharp bark from both speaker Heifia and red Jisz snap the Korats and Heifias back to attention, several pairs of now-angry eyes fixed on the strangers. "Go away," the Heifia intones. "Go away or we'll kill you."
