Subject: The rosey chestnut pranced on her points nostrils flared and ears twitching forth and back...

The mare threw her head up and called out for pure joy. She went on a merry dance, long legs stretching to touch the soft ground. Her neck arched and she held her tail high. She called out to Fatal Suspense and said," What postition am I?" Her graceful steps lingered and she stopped. Her right foreleg reached forth and she pawed the ground making the small shape of a sun. Her symbol. When she was born a man had taken her and burned the symbol of a sun. She sidestepped and the sun glistened on her thin coat revealing the symbol. She snorted her nostrils closing and opening for new air. She extended her muzzle and touched the stallion on his shoulder. Her breath fogged the air then was wisped away by the wind. Her forelock was blown up and her diamond shone brightly against her burning chestnut face. She whinnied to Fatal. Her long neck arched again as she trotted in rythmic motions first her right foreleg and her left hindleg, then she switched to her left foreleg and her right hindleg, and so on. She moved with grace and beauty. Her mane swept over her neck and the breeze whipped it around covering her black eyes. She called out again this time for Fatal to come follow her. She stepped daintily over some brush then began to canter. She went swiftly and her legs moved fluidly. She laced her chestnut ears as to keep them from being scratched or air burned. She left about an inch so she could still hear sounds. She heard birds falpping their wings above the trees. The wind wisping around and through the leaves. She heard her hoof beats and breath as she cantered through the forest. She made a loop and slowed to a slow lope. Her legs swept above her chest as she leapt over another pile of brush. She looked at Fatal and her eyes filled with love. She trotted the rest of the way back to the herd. Her steps slower but none the less graceful. Her heart was filled with warmth as she reached her family. She stood by Fatal for a moment playing with his mane, then she turned and walked over to the waterfall. She lifted her head and snapped at the mist falling upon her playfully. Then she closed her eyes as she drnk the cool water. Her warm throat felt like a warm mouse inside its hole on a cold winter day. She drank for many minutes before opening her eyes. She stopped and lifted her head enough to allow the water drip off of her muzzle. She shook her head ridding herself of the last driplets on her. She snorted at a slight tickle in her nose. Then she went beside Fatal and nuzzled his cheek lovingly. She then walked over to the other mares and let her tail drop slightly so she wouldn't have to hold it up for so long. She reached her neck down to the ground and skimmed the grass blades for a while before snatching up a mouthful of dark green blades. The taste brought tears to her eyes. Never had she tasted such lush grass. It nearly melted in her mouth. She skimmed some more and ate until she was so full that her stomach sagged with food. She smiled and greeted a few mares before returning to Fatal. She pushed her muzzle against his barrel and then let her face fall away from him. Her eyes were full of curiosity and wonder. She nickered to him and let her ears twitch this way and that. Her nostrils now settled and she breathed eeply the scent of fresh roses...
