I am so tired! My husband, and Chato and I just arrived home about an hour ago. We were in Houston. My father-in-law and his wife wanted to go back to their home so we all drove there yesterday. It was dried out, but there's quite a bit of dried mud and some repairs to do (new sheetrock on some of the walls, and fixing up the porch). They will be staying for about a week with one of my husband's sisters. Hopefully by then their house will be fixed and they will be able to go back home.
I have a very bad feeling that this $800 Billion bailout of Wall Street is just the BEGINNING. I know that something HAD to be done, but I just know that there is going to be more money needed for a bailout, especially the way the economists are predicting a very bad holiday sales expectation. THANK YOU DE-REGULATION MCCAIN AND YOUR REPUB PARTY! The Repubs had the Majority in Congress from 1994 to January 2007, so Everything that Congress passed to De-Regulate Wall Street is on their plate. THAT'S why the Repubs are going to lose BIG TIME next month!
Well, the Veep debate went okay. Ms. Sarah actually showed up. But, Biden easily WON the debate. He was so knowledgeable about every subject that he blew Palin out of the water. And what the heck was with her wanting MORE Veep power than Cheney? By golly, she's no Joe Six Pack; she's more like Ms. "Wink-Wink"! LOL She needed to get that hair out of her eyes and she needed to answer the questions she was given. That's usually what is done during a debate. But NO, she wanted to answer what she wanted. She was acting like some kind of stubborn Mule!
Now she's saying that Obama is 'palling around' with the terrorists? I must admit I haven't been watching much TV these past few days, but I did hear about that comment. What does she really mean about it? Does she mean that Obama is a terrorist? Obama should sue her for defamation after he becomes president. It would serve her right. But she also has that 'troopergate' investigation to worry about. I think I heard that the Supreme Court may get involved with that. This is getting ridiculous!
Well, I'll be heading to San Antonio in a few hours. I need to do a bit of laundry and get some meals ready for the fellows for the weeknight dinners. I'm very happy that my son had such a good visit with my husband's father. They did a lot of talking, sharing points of view and just being a Grandpa and Grandson. I'm glad that Chato has grown up to be such a decent fellow. He's never been in trouble with the law, nor is he a lazy bum or taking drugs. I think I did a pretty good job, considering all the hard work and the neglect from his biological father. Well, family is not only being related by blood, but it's being related by LOVE!
Everyone try to have a safe and happy week. I'll be tuning in on this Tuesday evening (October 7th) for the debate with McCain and Obama. I always watch it on MSNBC, and I'll look forward to Chris Matthews and Keith Olbermann's comments afterward.
