Well, I watched the final debate, and, while McCain brought up more points to argue, Obama was still the clear winner.

But now, the REAL fight is beginning! McCain and the Republican National Committee (RNC) are trying to make sure that eligible voters are not being allowed to vote! What McCain said about ACORN in the debate was, at best, a very pumped-up fear tactic for his base, and at worst, a very ridiculous and unprovable lie that is making people ask questions about who can vote.
I admit I never heard of ACORN before this year, but I've heard that they've been around for years, and enjoy both Republican and Democratic support for their making sure that everyone who is qualified is registered to vote. But now, for McCain to come out and say that ACORN is trying to make a whole mockery and fraud of the voting registration is just plain dumb and untrue.

What about the RNC trying to get more than 200,000 voters in Ohio to be not counted, because they are "questionable" in being Ohio residents? Well, the Supremes knocked that down this past Friday and is letting the state COUNT these votes for November 4th.

What about the RNC trying to argue that people in Michigan who have been foreclosed and evicted from their homes do not qualify to vote because they don't have a "permanent" residence anymore?

What about dozens of people in Alabama who registered to vote this past summer and were being told that they are "convicted felons" (that they have the same name as a convicted felon) under the RNC lists and can not be allowed to register to vote?

And the "robocall" messages? Give me a break! So the RNC is trying to link Obama with the Weather Underground fellow Ayers? Well, I've read that "robocall" message, and there is a lot being left out--like when Ayers was doing his bombings Obama was like 8 YEARS OLD at the time, that Obama has denounced Ayers' past, that Ayers has Nothing to do with Obama's campaign. Nope, another "scare tactic" to make the idiot Repubs thinking that Obama is going to bomb them!

And about "Socialism". Well, we are All part owners of so many banks now and soon will be part owners of thousands of mortgages, so how can that NOT be considered Socialism?

And what about the US Postal Service? Isn't that considered a Socialist program? After all, it's run by the US Government, paid for by our taxes, we all pay the same rates for a first-class postage stamp, and we all get mail delivered to our homes or businesses. So, Tommy, you don't want to be part of this Socialism you fear from Obama? Then start your OWN postal system and quit using the USPS!

The Republicans are literally throwing everything up against the wall to see what will stick, but the average US voter isn't falling for their nonsense this time!

Mercedes
