Subject: I am with you Doris. First let me say that I admired Bobby Fischer, the Chess Player. At least when he his brains were functioning properly. |

There was a story on ESPN a few years ago recounting Fischer's life and status at the time and it was produced by Jeremy Schapp, the son of Dick Schapp who tried to be a father figure to Bobby when he was 12 years old as well as documenting his rise fame in the chess world. Much later, Dick Schapp apparently wrote that Fischer "did not have a sane bone in his body".
Well, in this news conference, after rambling on about his obnoxious disgusting views about Jews and the Holocoust and 9/11 he singled out Jeremy Schapp and said that his father was a Jewish snake for writing about his not having any sane bones.
Jeremy Schapp took a moment and reflected and then said to Fischer, "there is nothing you said here today that would prove my Father wrong."
Fischer's jaw dropped and there was dead silence for a long time and the interview ended.
Checkmate!!!!!
I judge men and women not by their gamesmanship but by the way they treat their fellow human beings.
Considering what he was in his last few years I feel that we have not lost anything except a smelly worthless piece of vermin. I cannot think of one good thing to say about this wretched individual except that he played chess well. I hope that more people remember him for the sad, pathetic unapologetic individual that he became.
I don't buy the "insanity" defense people. This man simply became a hateful bigoted piece of sh*t of the worst order. I feel sorry for his family, really I do, because they will have to live with the garbage that he brought forth.
I had more respect for a different chessman, namely Caryl Chessman. At least to my knowledge he did not spew hate in the manner that Bobby Fischer did.
Sometimes what goes around comes around. And yes, Doris, he got his just reward. He got just what he deserved.
Rest in pieces, Bobby. I don't care how many chess games you won. You were a LOSER as a human being.
