If Romney get the nomination, it mostly republicans that won't vote for him. None of the candidates in the GOP posses all the traits of Reagan, so there is no one the torch can be passed to. The Reagan revolution ends when Bush(who mostly contributed to it's dimunition) walks out of the the White House. So I don't think the Dems fear Romney as much as some of the Republicans do.
