 My wish came true--we All have gotten our country back from the Neo-Con agenda of giving to the 'haves' and 'have mores' and the heck with the rest of us. I've been so sick of these past 8 years that I almost gave up hope of even thinking that Change could happen--until Barack Obama was elected our President. I was so happy on Tuesday night that I called my relatives in California and New York and we were cheering and just having a wonderful conversation with each other while we were watching the election results (on MSNBC, of course).

It's not that Barack Obama is the first Black President, but that he is the First NON-White President. That means so much to me to see a man that has skin like mine (mine is a bit more lighter than Barack's skin color) being in charge and being our President. With everything people of color have had to face over the years, it's About Time and Long Overdue that people realize that we are intelligent and have something to offer our country and that the days of being 'put in our place' is Over.

Already, Barack is working on his new Cabinet; he's having his staff review Bush's signing statements and there is talk of getting ready to start changing Bush's ridiculous environmental policies, allowing stem cell research to begin again and talks to begin with the Iraqi government in January to Finally start withdrawing our troops.

The only problem is that Bush is still in charge, and he's going to try to sneak in every Neo-Con policy he can get away with before he leaves office in January.

I know a lot of you are not going to like what you read here, but at least give me my chance to be happy that our country can elect a president who is Not a White man and that now, ANYONE can become President, or become what he/she wants to, no matter What Color, Race, Creed or Politics they follow.

This is Change for the Better for ALL of US!
