Maybe the baby will wait a few days and come on Christmas--then it will be very easy to remember his/her birthday. Or maybe the baby will be early and come on December 14th, which is my birthday. Either date, I know that baby is going to have enough Love and Kisses!
Peggy, thanks for your info on the different happenings around the country. I guess some times Oklahoma is NOT OK and sometimes people are smarter than you think when you listen to them talking, if you know what I mean. :)
I'll be leaving work on Tuesday evening, then going right to the grocery store to buy a cooked turkey and all the rest of the dinner--stuffing, gravy, mashed potatoes, yams, pumpkin pie, mincemeat pie (I'm the only one in my family who likes it--does anyone else here like it?) raspberry jello, green peas, bread, etc...I'm going to cook everything on Wednesday and just heat and serve on Thursday. El Viejo is also joining us for dinner. My son is very insistent about eating tofu turkey, so he'll be eating at his girlfriend's house on Thursday, then he'll bring a few friends home and have Dinner with us--after they finish eating, there will be NO leftovers to worry about. LOL
My father-in-law and his wife will be having Thanksgiving Dinner with family in Houston this year, but they'll be here in South Texas for Christmas. We always eat tamales for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, but we could start a new 'tradition' for us, having tofu turkey for Christmas Dinner. I wonder what my father-in-law and his wife will think when they try the tofu turkey and how my husband and I will like it...it sure is different!
If I don't get a chance to post another message, then I want to now wish everyone a very Happy Thanksgiving, and I give Thanks every day to God, Who supplies all food and drink by way of plants, animals and water, and to those who grow the food, those who make the drink and bring everything to our grocery stores so we don't have to go do all that work of getting our own food and drink in the wilderness...Imagine if we all had to go hunt, gather crops, haul water from a well or stream--do that every day, after we finish working at our jobs! :( LOL!
Love,
Mercedes
