I've been so busy lately that I didn't even have time to come home last weekend. But here I am today, posting a message while I'm doing my laundry. I guess it must be my age, but it's getting a bit harder to do things as fast as I could just a few years ago. Well, I'm 42 years old, which isn't too old, but I sure don't feel like I'm 18 years old anymore. LOL
Is anyone NOT surprised that the Republicans are fighting President Obama over every little detail in the Stimulus Package? All I know is that they kept their mouths shut when Bush approved the 'bailout' for the big banks. Already $350 BILLION has gone to the banks, but no one will tell us exactly what it was used for--only that some employees got bonuses and some banks are keeping their bailout money locked up for the future. All those Billions, and not even ONE DOLLAR is being used to help people who are losing their homes through foreclosure. At least President Obama wants the other $350 Billion to be used for People, and the banks must tell Congress and US what they will be doing with the money and when they will be paying it back or they risk the danger of not receiving any more bailout money.
Sorry, but Republicans are the biggest hypocrites on the planet. No matter how they say it, they are ultimately in favor of the rich and super rich. The rest of us Common Folk are just a thorn in their side. The only thing we're good for is to pay the bills, while the rich and super rich enjoy their tax breaks.
For God's sake, Republicans, just leave our President alone! He's only been in office less than 3 Weeks and I think he's done more in that time than Bush did in 6 years of Republican majority rule from 2001 to January 2007. Just admit you are the minority party now, stop trying to mess with the Stimulus Package, and get back to work on fixing all the messes your president Bush left for all of us.
