The Repubs are having a serious case of 'sour grapes'. They cannot get over the fact that they are not in charge anymore. They seem to think if they call on the name of God that He will bless them and curse the Democrats, or if they fight President Obama on every dollar of spending in the Stimulus bill that the people of the US will support them because they want to 'save' us money.
The Repubs have a terrible habit of admiring only those who have 'made it' financially. The rest of us are lazy, imcompetent, ignorant and should kill ourselves to rid the planet of the surplus population. Unless we are raking in the money, then we're not worth a bucket of spit to them--just another thorn in their side.
Look how fast they approved the bailout for the bankers and Wall Street. Look how they fought to keep bonuses in the bailout package. They seem to think if you're not one of them, then you should just shut your mouth, pay for their bailout and their tax cuts and make the rich even richer, all while you become homeless and slowly starve to death.
I remember when they started playing around with the districts here in Texas. They decided that They had to make sure since Bush won, that most Texans would live in Republican favored districts, even if they weren't for Bush or for Republicans. By the by, why doesn't Connecticut ever take credit for producing that great ole cowboy W? After all, he WAS born in Connecticut and just moved to Texas so he could play horsie...
The Repubs are also jealous that they didn't think of the Stimulus bill first. Of course, if they had, then the Stimulus bill would be far different from what it is now. It would probably be a massive tax cut for the rich, super rich and corporations--to 'stimulate' them to try and make new jobs for us poor saps, so they can say they are 'trying to help' us.
Like I've said before, why would ANYONE want to be known as a Republican? Unless you are a rich white business owner or inherited a ton of money, or your great grand daddy stole acres of land from the Native Americans a century ago, or you made money by using cheap labor, then why would you want to be associated with these kind of people? Don't you care about your fellow man? Don't you want to share what you have with others? What would happen if you lost everything you own tomorrow? Do you think you could go to a fellow Republican for help? The only thing they'll say is, "good luck pulling yourself up by your own bootstraps, buddy" while they smile in your face.
Unless the Republicans seriously have a change of heart and start Being the Christians they claim they are and start following the rules of Our Lord, then they will be angry, mad, jealous and in the minority in the US Government and we will have to hear their constant whining and crying because President Obama doesn't do what they tell him to do. Well, I guess I can stand to hear them for the rest of my life as long as they stay in the minority and NEVER, EVER try to put another 'W or Cheney' type in the White House again!
