Subject: After what is coming down, I am going to take a very close look at McCain. I am having major doubts about Obama.

I have been an unabashed Obama supporter up to now. But I must tell you that after watching what is going on I have many concerns about Obama and whether he is really the man to lead this country.

I am having serious doubts about him.

The Jeremiah Wright controversy will not go away and it will carry on through the general election if Obama gets nominated.

I now think there is a very real chance (it seemed totally unlikely a couple of weeks ago) that Hillary will steal the nomination.

For all I know Wright may be secretly working for the Hillary Clinton campaign.

Either way, Obama being a "sure thing" no longer seems like a sure thing.

The governor of North Carolina has just endorsed Hillary.

There is no way that she will win North Carolina unless Obama robs a bank or does something rash like that.

But if Obama wins by a very small margin and if Hillary wins Indiana, then I think all bets will be off.

The poll that came out yesterday showed that Hillary would beat McCain 50 to 41. Obama would beat McCain 46 to 44.

That is a major turn of the tide.

Obama is not going to lose the nomination in one day. But if the dribbles keep coming in (drip, drip, drip) on a steady basis, then he may well NOT be nominated.

In spite of my serious doubts which I am expressing candidly here, I would still vote for Obama.

But what if it's Hillary versus McCain?

I cannot stomach Hillary, so I am going to take a long hard look at McCain.

If I cannot in good conscience vote for either of them, I may just stay home on Election Day and pray that whoeever wins turns out for the best.

To those who may criticize me for writing this and say that I am worried too much, I can only say to you .....

I hope that you are right.

But in my heart I am not terribly sure anymore.
