Subject: Similar, but not quite. I should stress I'd be asking for written arguments. Debating is great, but let's face it, it is only half about the arguments and half about public speaking skills....a different thing entirely. As a result debates really are more often about the public speaking skills rather than the arguments. Sticking to the written argument, and to the issue of the arguments themselves (and without the complication of competing with someone else) I feel is a better way to really hone one's skills at developing arguments.
