You say "I agree with Doris. Leaving that thread up is absolutely foolish." which would suggest that you believe Doris made the post objecting to the Slim Whitman thread remaining on the Obits board.

That post was made by an anonymous poster. No one is criticizing Doris. Only the subsequent anonymous poster is being criticized. Doris merely pointed out to us that Slim was still alive and that she could not post on the other board. Some anonymous coward then decided to slag off the other board on this board.

It make sense to leave some of the thread up there to let those who had read the false report be informed of Slim's continuing intake of oxygen.
