In a galaxy not so far away...

I began this analogy some time ago and it looks like I could add to it. This is how the Star Wars saga pans out.

Following a brutal terrorist attack, the President of an empire uses the situation to get his Senate to increase his executive powers, with the readily duped aid of stooges that represent the political opposition and, with much assistance of his evil second in command, wilfully rests some of the blame for that attack on an innocent state far away to further economic and strategic ambition. Meanwhile, the real inhuman mastermind behind the terrorist attack remains at large and conveniently enables those economic and strategic ambitions to go unhindered in the name of the pursuit of this enemy, ever worsening this empire's moral status in the wider community.

If you are not following, George W. Bush is Palpatine, John Kerry or Tony Blair are Jar Jar Binks and Saddam Hussein was Christopher Lee's character.

Well we all know how the Stars Wars saga ended. That tyrannical rule came to an end when a saviour came along who turned out to be a relative of that empire's rule's second in command.

And what was revealed last year? Barack Obama is a ninth cousin once removed of Dick Cheney's.
