Isayah saw the five junior tower members and hurried over to meet them, mentally running through what she wanted to say.

She had been somewhat dismayed when she realized exactly how many would be coming with her, especially as she was the only senior member in the group. It made her feel like a nursery maid but she had agreed to take as many as possible with her to give them the experience, and it would make the research go much faster after all.

"How do you do," she began. "For those of you I haven't met, I'm Isayah, the Tower Bard. For some time now I've been researching a tale of ancient Manetheren and I believe that a complete copy may be held in the Cairhien Library. With so many of us going it shouldn't take longer than a couple of days to find.

"Now, I would appreciate it if you could avoid channelling as much as possible because there are a lot of ignorant people in the world and I'd like to avoid any trouble." A vague image of ten novices channelling uncontrollably through the streets of Cairhien flitted through her mind and left her feeling decidedly nervous.

"Also, for convenience's sake I will be dividing you into two or three groups when we get to the library and each group will be assigned a different task."

Isayah looked doubtfully at those assembled.
"Are there any questions?" she asked.
