Subject: They arrive.

The pair of travelers paused on the mountain top, panting. The climb had been difficult, and the elder of the two was amazed at the little one's strength. She was amazed at his resolve.
"Kale...look!"
The youngster pointed into the valley, his voice high with excitement. Kalesti, or Kale, as she was known to the young boy, let her gaze follow his pointing finger. A town was there, right among the mountains. Kale drew in a surprised breath.
"Well, who would have thought, eh Shai?" she commented to her small companion. He grinned widely, showing his teeth, or lack thereof, for there was a gap where his front tooth should have been.
"Do ya think we can get some good food? Or.. or.. a bed?"
He looked up to her, his piercing, blue eyes, hopeful.
Kale sighed softly, her gray eyes meeting his pale blue ones. "Well Shai, we have to be careful.. but.. perhaps they don't know.. perhaps, we can."
With that, Shai took Kale's hand and began tugging her down the mountainside, thinking only of having a home once again.
