Subject: Stay for a while

{At a Pheonix Promotion House Show, the crowd is silent after watching another brief appearance by Damien Black. Suddenly, a fog pours into the arena, settling at the top of the ramp and around the ring. �Sweet Dreams� hits and the crowd roars. Springheel Jack appears through the fog and stands at the top of the ramp. He smiles at the crowd, shakes his head, and walks down to the ring.}

Springheel Jack: You know, if Damien Black could stick around for a few minutes at a time, we�d all probably know a lot more about him. I mean, this guy pops up here or there, runs his mouth for 10 whole seconds, and then disappears, only to reappear later for another 10 seconds of idle threats. Damien, you have got to learn how to relax. You have got to learn how to stop and smell the roses. I�d love to get into a war of words with you, but it�s hard to even try when you seem to just use 5 words at a time! But I guess you�re just setting yourself up for our match with your promos. After all, I will destroy you in absolutely no time at all, so why not use short promos to build up our short match?

Rip: He�s got a point there!

Springheel Jack: But apparently you seem to think that this match means something. Hell, you think your match at Shockwave meant something, too. Let me tell you this, Damien. PhantomLord sure as hell isn�t a legend. He�s a fossil! You beat up on Father Time, congratulations! But this Monday night, at Blaze, you don�t step into the ring with a skeleton. You step to me, the most Glorious International Champion this company has ever had, and the most dominating force in this business. You seem to think that by mixing it up with me, you�ve got yourself a golden opportunity. Well you do. You�ve been given the opportunity to be one of the many who have had their dreams crushed by Springheel Jack!

{The crowd pops}

Rip: There have been quite a few!

Springheel Jack: Damien Black, you�ve said that this match is a stepping stone for you. You think you�re going to walk out of this match and on to greatness, the International Title, the World Title, the Main Event! But you�ll be lucky if you walk out of this match at all! You see, this match isn�t a stepping stone for you, it�s a rebound for me. I had my title stolen from me at Shockwave. That�s in the past. Now I need to dish out a good ass-kicking to forget about Friday�s events and look ahead to the future. After I beat the hell out of you, I can think about getting my belt back from Jack Hammer. I might even become one-half of the World�s Tag Team Champions! But Monday night isn�t about any of that. It�s about getting back on my feet, getting back on track. You�re just the unlucky son of a bitch who�s been put in my way. Who knows? Maybe with your ridiculous ego and your lack of talent you�ve managed to piss off the wrong people backstage. Maybe fate just isn�t smiling upon you. But whatever it is, on Monday night, you will not be stepping up. You will instead be punished! The fog is rolling in on you, Damien Black, and your world is about to go grey!

{With that, �Sweet Dreams� hits again. Springheel Jack raises his hands to the crowd, then heads backstage as they cheer him on.}
