The Problem:
The dryness of the desert + food source

The Social Invention:
The Qattara Depression is about 60 miles South of El Alemain. The depression is around -133 ft below sea level. Flooding the area with salt water would eventually creat a large salt water lake. Evaporation from this lake would increase the amount of precipitation in the area giving obvious benefits to the surrounding area. The pipe line only needs to rise some two hundred feet should not need any pumping to maintain flow.
