We in Sunset Valley Texas, are a tiny city of 1 sq mile that sits on the Edwards Aquifer. Surrounded on all four sides by Austin the pressure to abandon of rural roots and pave over the area with stores is a real life drama not to be believed.
Our incredible story can be found at: www.noaquiferbigbox.com it has been a very public battle of aquifer protection and community rights against the giant corporation LOWES that I understand is a reoccuring senario all over the U.S. There is a boycott organized at www.stoplowes.com as well.
