My name is Matt de la Houssaye and I am interested in learning more about a few issues regarding sustainability. For the issues listed below, I have heard things through word of mouth and read things I the web, but I was wondering if anyone could point me to books or articles on these topics that they might recommend. Thanks.
1. the history and/or present state (extent, who's involved, problems/solutions) of organic farming and ecovillages in the US and/or the world
2. resources that go beyond just telling the evils of a fast food diet or "why one should go organic" - once one has gone organic then I have heard some things such as the bad effects of soy..an in depth resource for someone who no longer eats Mcdonalds - on that same note, does anyone know of any good cookbooks with an emphasis on not cooking very much, i.e. slated toward raw foodism?
