Even though Tommy was home more often now, she was still wary about getting close to him again. They'd drifted apart those last few months, and now she turned to Aesop when she needed comfort and companionship. Right now she sat in the floor of the nursery with the dog right by her side, folding the blue sleepers she'd bought today, talking to the dog softly about her worries and stresses
