Subject: about to hit the road!

hay, how you doing? I am about to head out in about a week. this will be another beautiful trip west for me. Ive been traveling the american road all my life. im from detroit and grew up traveling with my parents every cristmas and sometimes easter to arizona to visit my grandparents. back then the 40 would end when you came to towns like gallup NM and that was the best part. me and my brother would sit in awe at the lights and sweet signs and we always wanted to stop at evory trading post along the way. we would always try to make a stop in old town albiq like an hour before it all closed down for the day, so when we came out of town it was night so we could see the city lights heading west out of town. this may be one of the most beautiful sights in america. well I just got this computer a couple months ago and finaly found out that there are route 66 and road travel sites.
so in about a week Im heading out to LA from detroit. mabey if any one knows any thing going on along the way could ya let me know, please?
I hope to talk to some folks, I am really into road travel and have been all over the USA .
