Hi Jo,

My website http://www.theroadmaveness.com has alot of good information on it to help in your journey! I would also recommend joining the Route 66 Group at Yahoo. There is a link at the bottom of the main page of the message board. The group has over 400 members, who exchange messages daily about Route 66. Included among the membership are a number of Route 66 authors, artists, historians, photographers, etc., with lots of good information to share. And most of the other members of the group are experienced "roadies," who are always happy to answer questions and share advice. Plus there are archives of all messages, which is a good resource as well. Many of the people live in the areas, and are always happy to meet up with travelers, tell you the best places to visit, which to stay away from and so forth.
