Again, I hope I'm wrong....

I think you may have missed my main point.

Given our 3-straight PL titles and 3-straight NCAA trips where we aquitted ourselves well versus national powers in Kentucky, Kansas and Marquette and add in the victory over BC at the Centrum and even our showing on the road versus Louisville - all that in sum over the past 3-4 years - has the talent level of our recruits improved markedly ? Have we taken advantage of our success and the positive publicity ? What youngster have we landed that we wouldn't have had we not had that success and positive publicity ?

Specifically, are the recruits we've signed the past 2 years - including these 2 above - better than, equal to or less talented that what we have recently had in Sankes ( transfer from Rutgers ), Serravelle, Whearty, Szatsko, Wilson, Jerz and Meade ?

AIR ( someone please correct me if I'm wrong ), when Clifford's name first surfaced I did a search on Insiders of their Top 100 'big men' rankings nationally as well as for the Top 25 in the northeast. Clifford wasn't listed. Forget the Big East....do we know if any A-10 or MAAC schools made bonafide scholarship offers to him ? I don't recall where Doherty was ranked in the northeast or what schools above the Ivy/Patriot level made confirmed scholarship offers to him.

To be blunt, who did we beat out/steal these 2 kids from in the recruiting process as indicative of making 'hay' off our success/positive press ?

Is it possible that a 6'10" high school basketball player whose team won the Mass State championship, and who is an excellent student just may be interested in accepting a scholarship to play at Holy Cross for Coach Willard, and nowhere else?
