Couldn't find the article referenced on the T&G website (at least not the sports section), did you read this on-line or the regular paper?
I'm rehashing old ground here but considering Coach Allen had symptoms consistent with ALS; the medical community's uncertainty of the existence of his supposed disease, multiple chemical sensitivity; you might have thought the family would insist on tying this down, especially with the lawsuit you reference.
ALS, however, has not been tied to any environmental causes. If an autopsy were done and ALS was the finding, I would suspect this would put a big hole in any lawsuit the family might be pursuing.
Perhaps, the family didn't feel an autopsy done by the same doubting medical community would serve any useful purpose?
It was my hope that Dan Allen could finally rest in peace after his tragic and untimely death from whatever the cause.
