Kathy, if your little girl has needed only one enema in nine years, you are certainly feeding her right. I would not agree with Sunshine that the child needs an enema every two weeks, but I would agree that giving her some enemas is a good idea to get her used to having enemas for periods, whenever that may be.

One enema in 9 years?! That is not anywhere near a constipation problem. You just have a normal child who had her system get a little out of sorts. I would not give her another enema until either she tells you that she's backed up or you have other evidence.
It does sound like she took that first one like an adult and you should not have a problem in the future. Most moms should be so lucky.
