Of course the Rottweiler can be bred with another registered Rottweiler and the puppies will still be considered purebred Rottweilers. The Rott/Pitbull puppies cannot be registered (that is just common sense).. Tell your friend to make sure her dog is of good breeding material. Just because a Rottie is registered does not mean they necessarily make good breeding.. Like if the dog has problems with her temperment, hips or is not in good health (health problems often are hereditary) or does not meet the standards for height, bone and muscle structure, stance, etc then I would not breed her.. It is good to keep the flaws that often plague the Rottweiler breed as out of their breed as possible.. If that makes any sense. It's one of the golden rules to breeding.. Try to breed out the bad and only breed the good into the Rottweiler dog breed. Also if your friend does evaluate her dog and does find her to be good breeding material, make sure her stud is as well... OTherwise you may get pups that are just not mentally, physically healthy.. Or they could just lack intelligence which would result in their owners not wanting them or being able to afford their health costs and surgeries.. Which we all know what this could result in.. Yet another litter of unwanted puppies, being put in shelters and even worse put down just because some breeder who didn't know what they were getting into. I am not saying your friend is, but if she is going to breed make sure she researches to make sure she knows what she is doing and getting herself into...
