Navy hued brute watched both his father and 'Olath lash back and forth at each other with words. As much as it had been direspectful of 'Olath to speak the words he had to Raistlin in front of the draklings, he had had a point. It didn't hurt any less though when Raistlin dropped his fatherhood like it was nothing though. It stung more than Venorik had thought it would. So, their mother was the only one that ever had really loved them, and she was now gone from them. Small male slunk back some, re-entering the folds of the clutch where it was scattered behind him. Raistlin had never really cared about anyone, Venorik had seen that first hand so why was he so surprised? Sighing softly, the little brute looked to his older brother.

I do. Mother knew this would happen all along. She must have if she'd asked 'Olath to watch over us before we were born. She was a blessed Royal, so it's very likely she had visions regarding our birth and our growing up.

Venorik was fairly sure anyways. He had no real way of knowing for sure if their mother had seen anything like he thought she did, but instinct told him she had. Perhaps if the others at least mulled over the possibility that she had known all along, they might find some comfort in that. For it only proved her love for them all the more. She had made sure that no matter what, they would be safe and cared for. Venorik only wished she could still be here with them...
