Subject: He nodded a bit, hating that she had been hurt, but he had his own past to tell her. He didn't want a bunch of secrets between them, even if they were meant to just be friends. "When I was 18 , I slept with this girl...she ended up pregnant and she was in some trouble with her step dad..." He paused a moment, this wasn't easy for him to talk about. He tucked his face in her neck, pressing a kiss there. "I stayed with her, kind of out of responsibility I guess..we ended up getting engaged...she died...giving birth to my daughter, and my little girl died four days later. That all happened in that year that I took off, remember? Everyone on the circuit was so confused..she hated me surfing."

She was with peter then...but she still worried for him... she had a feeling that things hadn't been right for him at the time...they were always very intune with each other that way "Must be hard..."
