With whispering footsteps, the wretched female entered the desolate wing. No one remained in this forgotten area of the castle, even her mother had moved on. But here is where the gray femme sought solace, her twitching nose searching for some lingering scent of her father. Finally, in an alcove commonly frequented by the regal wolf, Koda found a repository of old scents. It seemed her father had returned to her to comfort her in her time of need. She curled herself up into a tiny ball, her nose pressed fervently against the dusty stones. -*Father...*- she whispered mournfully. -*It hurts so much*- Finally, the tears that had begun in Alaskan Mountains fell from her tightly shut eyes, compressed into precious transparent pearls that shimmered on her silven cheeks. Perhaps some would call her actions noble, others would call them foolish. But to the weeping wolfess, she had only done what she thought was right and now her broken heart had exacted the price.
