I wouldn't be too surprised to se TCU jump back into an old-style SWC if the money was right. The soon-to-be Mrs. Dogg just finished playing soccer at TCU and she said the athletic budget is pretty tight due to the travelling they have to do in C-USA and the even more travel they wil do in the Mountain West. One thing I've learned is that when it comes to college sports it's all about money. That's why there is so much conference movement right now.
