Lashana entered her room, closed the door, and immediately flopped down on her bed after Lysethe had followed her in. Moaning, she grabbed a pillow and buried her face in it, muffling her angry scream.

What's wrong? Why are you mad? The large gray asked. She paused a moment before asking, Was it me?

Lashana was immediately contrite and sat up. "No, love. Of course it wasn't you," she said immediately. "It was me. I said things to Cre about my past after I lost my memory. Things she could very well hate me for if she knows what the mean. It has happened before, you know. The last land I was in. . ." Shana paused thinking about it, sighed, then continued. "The last land I was in I did not leave willingly. I was driven off. Somehow it got out that I used to be in the liftin' lay and roof work business, as well as being a former sell-sword." She stopped again, this time to see if Lysethe knew was the terms meant.

Pick-pocketing, burglary, and a mercenary. Lysethe supplied.

"Exactly. They didn't even stop to think about it. They just drove me out. I can't trust people to run me off again which is why I don't tell people about my past and I have been wandering from place to place since then. Until I came here of course." She stopped, this time for good, and no more was spoken that night.
