 I have the same thing!!!!! i just found out yesterday, and i've been told it was turf toe since september.... come to find out it's the sesamoid... most likely a fracture.... my doctor suggested removing it as well, but she mentioned giving me a shot of cortizone to get through nationals..... i'm glad i'm not alone with this... it's awful pain esp. in hardshoes.... =( good luck
