Several Iraqi Resistance Groups Merge To Form 7000 Member Mujahideen Group Oct 08, 2004 By Omar Al-Faris, JUS
A Kuwaiti newspaper, Al-Raai Al-Aam that claims to have strong ties to Islamic movements in Iraq, has reported that three major resistance groups have joined forces with the larger well known group called the Islamic Jihad Brigade and five other smaller resistance groups to form one 7000 member strong group operating under the name Imam Al-Mujahideen Brigades. This newly formed group will operate throughout Iraq under one central, coordinated leadership.

The number of daily attacks in Iraq, while mostly going unreported by mainstream news, is escalating at a dramatic rate. In addition, attacks against occupation forces, its allies and Iraqi collaborators are becoming increasingly more sophisticated and well organized. The resistance has an unlimited supply of heavy weapons which were strategically placed throughout the country before the invasion. In addition, the resistance is now widely supported, with resistance groups made up of local Iraqis.

It is suspected that this latest merger is in response to the well publicized offensives that occupation troops are planning to bring resistance-controlled cities such as Fallujah prior to January�s puppet elections. (JUS)
